Sonny and Cher was a pop entertainment couple in the 60's and 70's.  Their hits included "I Got You Babe" and "The Beat Goes On".  Together they hosted a TV variety weekly series.  Sonny went on to a life in politics and Cher's career later exploded as a solo artist.
