Santana is a San Francisco-based rock band formed in 1966 by Carlos Santana.  Santana's appearance at Woodstock boosted their popularity.  They've recorded 25 studio albums but may be most remembered for "Santana" in 1969, "Abraxas" in 1970 and "Santana III" in 1973.  Their hit songs include Evil Ways, Black Magic Woman, Oye Como Va, and Samba Pa Ti.  These recordings included Michael Carabello and Chepito on percussion and Mike Shrieve on drums, and Carlos Santana on guitar. This group is one of the best-selling groups of all time, with over 47 million certified records sold in the US and 100 million worldwide.  The group won 8 Grammy awards.
