During the late '80s and early '90's, I ran a chain of video rental stores. During that period, I mailed VHS box covers to actors requesting their signatures so that I could display them in our stores (and in my home). This is one of the many responses received.
Rodney Dangerfield was an American actor, comedian, producer, screenwriter, and singer. Born Jacob Rodney Cohen in Babylon, New York, he was known for his self-deprecating humor and catchphrase, "I don't get no respect!". Dangerfield's career spanned film, television, radio, voice acting, Broadway, and comedy albums, including the Grammy-winning No Respect (1981). His movies included Back to School, Caddyshack, Easy Money, Ladybugs and many others.
