Sally Field is a TV and movie actress, and has won two Academy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards and three Emmys.  She began her career on TV starring as Gidget and later The Flying Nun.  She won an Emmy for her performance as lead actress in the TV movie Sybil.  Her movie credits include Smokey and the Bandit, Norma Rae, Places in the Heart, Absence of Malice, Steel Magnolias, Murphy's Romance and Forrest Gump.  In her later years she won an Emmy for her roll on ER and Brothers and Sisters, and she co-starred in the movie 80 For Brady.
