signed in-person at concert in Los Angeles in the early 2000's (either at the Wiltern or, more likely, at the House of Blues - can't recall which)

Mountain ws founded in 1969.  Leslie West (guitar/vocal) was an original member with Felix Pappalardi, Steve Knight and ND Smart.  Corky Laing quickly replace Smart as the group's drummer.  They are best known for their 1970 hit "Mississippi Queen".  They had two gold albums - "Climbing" and "Nantucket Sleighride".
