Mountain was a rock band formed in 1969 with Leslie West on guitar, Felix Pappalardi on bass and Steve Knight on keyboard. Their drummer at this show was Corky Laing. They are best know for their hit song "Mississippi Queen". Felix Pappalardi had been the Cream's producer. Pappalardi returned to producing after Mountain. He was shot and killed by his wife in 1983 in their apartment on the East Side of Manhattan with a derringer he had giver her as a gift. Leslie West and Laing recorded two albums with Jack Bruce (under West, Bruce, and Laing), West also recorded with Al Kooper on the Who's "Who's Next" album.
