Mary Wilson was a founding member of the Supremes, the most successful Motown act of the 1960's and the best-charting female group in US chart history.  The trio reached #1 on the BillBoard Top 100 with 12 of their songs, ten of which featured Wilson on backing vocals. Wilson was the last of the founding members to leave the Supremes, in 1977, when she started her solo career.
