Jennifer Holiday is a singer, starting her career on Broadway in shows such as Dreamgirls.  She is most known for her Grammy winning single from Dreamgirls "And I Am Telling You". She also won a 1982 Tony Award for Dreamgirls.  And, in 2016-2017 she played Shug Avery in The Color Purple on Broadway.
