Forrest Ackerman was a magazine editor, science fiction writer, founder of scifi fandom and a leading expert on science fiction/horror/fantasy films and an avid collector.  As a literary agent, he represented Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov and others.  He was the founding editor and principal writer of Famous Monsters of Filmland.  He appeared in more than 210 B-movies.
