During the late '80s and early '90's, I ran a chain of video rental stores. During that period, I mailed VHS box covers to actors requesting their signatures so that I could display them in our stores (and in my home). This is one of the many responses received.
Cornelius Crane "Chevy" Chase is an American actor, comedian, and writer. He became a breakout star on the first season of Saturday Night Live for his recurring "Weekend Update" segment and his physical humor. Chase was known for his pratfalls and his Gerald Ford impersonation. He also wrote for Mad Magazine and National Lampoon, where he developed "Weekend Update" and its catchphrase, "I'm Chevy Chase, and you're not". His movies included the Vacation series, Caddyshack, Fletch, and many others.
