Carl Ballantine was a magician as well as a comic actor. He performed his magic act on The Ed Sullivan Show and The Steve Allen Show. He was a regular cast member playing Lester Gruber on McHales Navy from 1962-1966. He had recurring role on The Partridge Family and was a panelist/judge on The Gong Show.
